The website is based on Open Source Software, with extensive customisation and additional features including a blog comment system created and added to improve functionality and interactivity with the website visitors.

  • XML feed generated is fully compatible with Juice and iTunes, meets the w3c standards and supports iTunes specific tags.
  • Password protected web administration interface: upload, edit, delete episodes and fully customise the script.
  • Dynamic "All Podcasts" and "Last in Podcasts" web pages showing title description of the file.
  • Web mp3 streaming with included Podcast Player.
  • Tell a friend page, a simple viral marketing technique.
  • Subscription / Contact page.
 
The use of Open Source software in this website development project reduced the development time drastically and ensured that project costs were kept to a reasonable amount.
 
The HSS, one of our hosting only clients of long standing had technical issues with a web site they had created in-house and a tight launch deadline to meet. We have all been there at some point.  Xact I.T. were able to step in and from the ground up, using the content that HSS had already prepared, create the website they required and on time to tie in with the press coverage and launch publicity that was already organised.
